About Mike McGrew.
I am a 3rd generation REALTOR® with 30 years in our business. You can see review my resume here.
Here are some things you won’t find in my resume:
I am happily married to Christine A. McGrew from Moline, Illinois for over 25 years. She is obviously a woman of strong character….
We have 2 children, John, 22, studying at Johnson County Community College and working part time as McGrew Real Estate’s administrative assistant; and Nicole (She’s Nikki to me), a freshman at KU and our Saturday morning receptionist.
We have 2 schnoodles, Riley and Lacey. They are hilarious and keep the house from being too quiet now that the kids are gone.
I am an avid cyclist. I didn’t say I was a racer or even a good cyclist, but I really enjoy it and have managed to ride at least 3000 miles each of the last 2 years.
I still play softball (several teams) and basketball with a group called the Monday Night Fat Boys. Actually we play on Tuesdays now and we’re not boys anymore, at least not chronologically.
I was the Outstanding Marching Band Member for the KU Marching Band in 1980. You may wonder if I am really a tremendous musician. Not so much. But I did get my forehead busted open by one of our Flag Girls (accidentally, at least that’s what she said later) and I think KU felt sorry for me. Hence the award.
I work out of my father’s old office and sit at my grandfather’s old desk. It is safe to say that I feel deeply attached to the history of our company and our industry.
